GATT and WTO are Born

Another major turning point in the globalization process was the creation of the WTO (the World Trade Organization). This came about through the passage of GATT (General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs). Though GATT was in formulation stages since 1947, it was the so- called “Uruguay Round of GATT” that created the WTO. COMMENTS ON VEDIC ASTROLOGY

In the Vedic tradition of India, astrology is the 6th limb of the Vedas, each limb called a Vedanga. Jyotish is the Sanskrit word for Vedic astrology. It means literally: “science of light.” It is the remover of the darkness of ignorance, also the eye of divine knowledge that is considered pure, supreme, and exalted. Not surprisingly, Jyotish is considered “the eye of the Vedas.” Its value is in giving us the capacity to see the past, present, and future. Continue reading
