Rectifying a birth chart is one of the most complex actions an astrologer performs, when birth data is uncertain or unknown. In the process of rectification, the astrologer reconstructs what should be the correct birth time, based on a myriad of factors that must be organized in a careful way. For the astrologer to work effectively, he or she must also determine the most important information needed from the client. Edith presents several cases to illustrate a 24-hour range and a 2-3 hour range, the latter involving a choice between two Ascendants. (Her lecture on Vedic Mundane astrology is complementary to this one. Among the topics included in that lecture is dealing with uncertain birth times of well known people.)
Included within the PDF is the 2000 lecture handout: Points to Remember in Rectifying an Astrological Chart (c1997).
